Coquitlam, BCAcumen Fund uses entrepreneurship to solve poverty. Give someone an apple, they can eat for a morning, teach someone to grow apples and they can eat for life! (Plus, it's less messy than fish. ;) ) If someone grew this giant apple from my dreams, you could feed a village!

Vancouver, BCCovenant House Vancouver provides food, shelter, clothing, counselling, access to medical services, and training and support to at-risk youth living in Vancouver. They come from everywhere. They need direction and sometimes all they need is a hug and some encouragement to get on the right path and be "good to go". P.S. My photo was silly, but it's also a lot of work to cover all my greys!

Vancouver, BCBC Cancer Foundation. The BC Cancer Agency was my second home for 8 weeks last year. There are a lot of great people there and they made a difficult situation bearable. I would be so happy to be able to give back.

Langley, British ColumbiaGreyhaven Exotic Bird Sanctuary. My name is Kathleen and this is my friend and parrotlet, Chewy. We're interested in bringing light to this amazing society as. With me being an exotic bird 'owner', I know how much time, effort, money and love it takes to keep feathered friends happy. Not only does this society help our friends, but it educates our communities about them. "Greyhaven Exotic Bird Sanctuary is a registered non-profit society that rescues, rehabilitates and cares for unwanted, injured, orphaned, abused, neglected and abandoned exotic birds. Greyhaven provides sanctuary, rehabilitation, consultations with our avian vet when health care issues arise, and a daily monitored dietary regime consisting of high quality seeds, pellets, vegetables and fruits. Greyhaven actively promotes avian welfare and awareness in the community through educational seminars and presentations to local schools, colleges, clubs, and other organizations. Our goal to help people understand the level of devotion and commitment it takes to share one’s home with a companion bird." www.greyhaven.bc.ca
